Religion in College 12

  1. What are some ideas you got from our website that you did not know about other religions?
  2. What are some things you would still like to learn  to prepare you for working and living with people of diverse religions?

  2. I think this was interesting because I didn't know much about Judaism or Christianity, and though I'm Muslim, some of this was new information for me.
However, I think some of your information is somewhat skewed, specifically in the branches/divisions. Your statement that there is "NO excuse as to why someone" should miss going to a mosque on Fridays isn't true- one specific example would be women, who aren't permitted to pray or go to the mosque when they're, ahem, ill. Also, you said that men and women must shave their heads when going to Mecca- I did the pilgrimage in eighth grade, and know from experience that, while men do need to shave their heads, women are permitted to simply cover their hair, whether with a hijab or a headscarf.
And one more thing to note, they don't just "walk around a large stone block"; this "block" is the most sacred site in Islam. When we pray, five times a day, we do it in the direction of this "block".
Haha, I realize this is all coming across really harsh, and I apologize for that, but, as you said "Muslims take their religion very seriously," and this is coming from me, someone who probably isn't the most religious.
