Just Society

A ruler in a society should have many leader qualities. They should not be biased, willing to accept new ideas, and inviting to others. A bad leader would turn away any ideas other people had to offer. By listening to people, the society would become a combination of ideas and ways that most people would think are fair. What might be fair to one person might not be to another. A society that is just is a society that has happy people. If the people are happy, then the world would become a better place.

  1. The mandate of heaven is when heaven chooses a leader and the people are loyal to the leader so that he is good. I agree that the ruler and the leader are responsible. I agree with this because a follower needs to respect and follow the leader but the leader also needs to set good examples for the people to follow. This makes them equally responsible.

  2. I agree more with Confucianism. I agree with this because Legalism is too harsh especially the way the laws work. There is a way to keep peace without being harsh. This is what Confucianism does, it keeps peace without the harsh laws.
